Introduction to Traditional Body Massage and General Body Work
The Academy of Thai Massage and Energy Work offers a variety of courses designed to teach all aspects of Traditional Body Massage & General Body Work. The courses vary from entry level to more advanced and credit degree courses.

Aromatherapy I
Course Fee: $200 + $25 Material Fee
Prerequisite: N/A
Instructor: Maggie Fenimore
Students will learn the varied uses and safety precautions of 12 of the most useful essential oils. Theory and practice time is part of the eight hour course.
Aromatherapy II
Course Fee: $220 + $25 Material Fee
Prerequisite: Aromatherapy I or equivalent study
Instructor: Maggie Fenimore
Students will learn the physiological and psychological application of essential oils with a deeper emphasis on chemical composition. Theory and hands on.
Flower Power
Course Fee: $475 + $50 Material Fee
Prerequisite: N/A
Instructor: Maggie Fenimore
Weekend I
Students will learn the healing, traditional, and magical uses of herbs, aromatherapy, and Bach Flowers.
Weekend II
The second part of the workshop will be hands on. Students will review the first weekend and apply the knowledge in creating their own unique projects. This class pays for itself as the student can learn how to create their own signature brands of creams, bath salts, and custom blended oils for personal use and to retail to their friends and clients.
Polarity
An electromagnetic field surrounds and runs through your body. Stress (physical and emotional) often blocks the normal flow of energy creating illness in its wake. Polarity therapy locates and unblocks the free flow of this life force.
Polarity is a comprehensive health care system that includes nutrition, exercise, thoughts and emotions and energetic body work. All will be taught in the Polarity workshop. Students will learn to perform a complete bodywork session, in addition to evaluating and setting up a treatment plan for your clients.
Reflexology
Course Fee: $184 + $15 Material Fee

Reflexology is one of the most practical, efficient and effective holistic health practices of today. It’s easy to learn and its stress-relieving techniques are enjoyed around the world. Reflexology promotes relaxation, may aid circulation and assist muscular and nerve function by supporting the body’s own healing process. The student will learn these popular health techniques based primarily on the system developed by American osteopathic physician William Fitzgerald.
Hot Stone Massage
Course Fee: $150 + $15 Material Fee
Prerequisite: LMT or Cosmetology license
Instructor: Maggie Fenimore
Participants will learn how to incorporate hot stone therapy with massage therapy. Some of the topics of the class are benefits, contraindications, preparing the stones, how to apply the stones on your client, and cleaning and recharging the stones.
